چکیده
Mesenteric cavernous hemangioma is a very rare disease. Most patients with mesenteric cavernous hemangioma present with gastrointestinal symptoms, such as bleeding and obstruction (1). In this report, to our knowledg, we describe the first case of mesenteric cavernous hemangioma with urological symptoms (1, 2). A 66-year-old man with severe pain radiating toward his penis during urination visited our hospital. Mild tenderness was localized in the upper area of the pubis on palpation. Although the results of a urinalysis and laboratory test were normal, computed tomography showed a large mass next to the ileum pressing downward on the urinary bladder that was not enhanced by contrast material (Picture 1). The large tumor was removed from the mesentery of the ileum via explorative laparotomy performed for diagnosis (Picture 2), and the results of the histopathological examination were consistent with the features of cavernous hemangioma (Picture 3). The patient’s symptoms disappeared after surgery, with no episodes of tumor recurrence to date.
